Agreed on your point. But there are other discriminations at workplace such as , age, race, sex and sexual harrassment. Those who complain about it effectively terminate their careers. Decision
On October 13, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
Does that mean an 'Approval'. Between we moved to AZ from FL this week and I'm sending my AR-11 and changed the address over the phone. Is there anything else I need to do ?

Very good. If it passes in 2-3 weeks, which we all hope is the case, that will be just excellent. Since there are some provisions like guest worker program for 11 million illegals also part of this bill, it is possible that the debate for this bill may also take sometime and may go through some roller coaster rides. Let's hope not.
Once the law is passed, the date of implementation is usually part of the law. I am not able to confirm if these are any dates mentioned in this bill. But my guess is it should take effect immediately. I did search for the complete text of the proposed bill but could not find the link. Any idea when the new proposals will be implemented if they become law :confused: Do we have to wait until Oct for these new proposals to take effect.

Good question. The bill is expected to be on the floor of the Senate and House for debate in Feb-06. Learning from S1932, it is my guess that the soonest bill could be law is 2-3 months. So we may be looking at something like April/May-06. But nothing is for sure at this time. It is possible that the debate may be dragged on till third quarter of 2006. We should start the activity to communicate with the law makers right now and continue to convey the right message if we want anything good to come out of the new bill.

And to think just sometime back we had an action item to send mails saying "Give us GCs and we will buy houses and help the economy"! What a joke!! For all the labels of highly skilled/highly educated etc. that we shower ourselves with we are no better than those idiots and irresponsible people who bought houses far beyond what they can afford and ran away putting their keys in mailboxes when going got tough.

I think we should not mention the bellow point in the letter which we are going send to the president.
Implement the existing interim rule to allow issuance of multi-year Employment Authorization Documents (EAD) and Advance Parole.
According to Mr. Aytes, USCIS is already working on it. Why to mention it in the letter?
That will rather give anti-skill-immigration crying babies one more thing to cry about.
Now what? Under the new filing fee schedule which took effect after July 29, 2007, issuance of EAD and Advance Parole for the post August 27, 2007 is "free, free, free" for the I-485 filers. Allegedly, the cost is incorporated in the I-485 filing fee of $1,020. The new regulation uses the term of "fee waiver" for EAD and Advance Parole for these I-485 filers. Now, you guessed it! Lo and Behold, the business calculation on EAD and Advance Parole has reversed. The DHS will lose a huge money by issuing single-year EAD and a separate Advance Prole document on a yearly basis over and over since they are free and they will have to keep producing it at no charge every year, which creates a huge workloads consuming its huge human resources and other production costs. This is particularly unacceptable to the agency under the predicted State Department Visa Bulletin for FY 2008 and in the future. Now, from the business standpoint, the DHS may make a huge money by issuing a multi-year EAD which will also function as a travel document. Ahah! No wonder why they are finally coming forward revealing their hidden agenda behind the new fee rule-making and EAD/Advance Parole reform business. Hi,
I do not have medical records to prove that I have taken some of the vaccination that is mandatory for the medical test. However, I do have taken those and my Doctor back in India has those records. Is there a way people know that these records in "any format" / a "specific format" can be faxed or fedexed here and can be used?
Any help will be highly apprciated.

Just now (12.30 PM EST) I got a mail from USCIS saying your application has been approved. I didn't do anything (never opened SR or contacted Senator) but last week I did had an info pass appointment which was useless. MY PD was Feb 2005 EB2 INDIA (The fun part is My AP and EAD are still pending for over 4 months)

take your i 485 application. There is a received date column and notice date column.
Date received is the date they received your application,notice date is the date they entered your application was entered into their system.
So, if someone with priority date of 08may2006 (eb2), but with a notice date of aug 30 2007 will get the green card earlier than someone with priority date of 20april2006 (eb2) with a notice date of sept 15.

The IT consulting firm or whatever is willing to hire an experienced employee with more than X years experience for a job requiring more than 5 years experience. As long as this employer does everything by the book, and the prospective employee does everything by the book, what is wrong with this? Note that the prospective employee has still waited for about 5-6 years to get his GC, its not as if they are getting it within a year of applying.
[Note that if the IT firm is taking any money from the prospective employee whatsoever for the labor application, then that is against the labor regulations (at least I think this was part of the new regulations that got rid of labor sub)]

I called FBI yesterday and asked for FP results. I was told they sent it to uscis and I saw LUD. Question is:
1) Does finger-printing & name check go together?
2) When FBI sends it to uscis does it mean nc/fp cleared?.
Any thoughts on this?

All you said is correct, except for you don't need Hepatitis B if you are over 16. No, there are no more tests involved, unless your tb is positive. If you tb is positive you need to do chestX-ray. I know that because I was just doing the tests for myself. Varicella must be taken twice 30 days apart. Same applies to MMR.
I hope this helps. If you go to a good doctor, he will give you a complete list of things that you need to do before coming on the medical exam.

My immigration doctor told me that if i had chickenpox in childhood i do not need the varicella vaccine? Which i did at age 5. Please, let me know if anyone else was told the same , i will be going back to him on Wednesday for the physical exam. I don't want to get a RFE on that.

I sent in the four letters 2 weeks ago and this week I got a mail from TEXAS Service Center. They returned my letter in original and they also wrote a big one page letter.
I don't have it with me right now but in it, it was mentioned that "Please call us at our inquiry center if you have any inquires or you can check your status online as well as the recent processing times.
Don't know if others are also receiving the same returned mail but I wanted to let you guys know this as an FYI.
It does not seem like the letter reached the person to whom it was directed to.
did you emailed to ombudsman also? any replies from him?

Now about the staff at Heathrow. Surely anyone with eyes that work can see most of them are not British at all but immigrants of some variety or another. A true Brit is a very friendly individual. The invasion of their island during the past fifty years has changed the face of the entire community, not all for the better that is for certain.
Now how do you know that, do you check their passports or do you ask them point blank about their origin. Or do you try to place them by their accent. Obviously not. The only way you can make such a blanket statement and attach an "immigrant of some variety" lable is by the looks alone. My friend, the last ten pages are precisly about such issues. Also, it is quite possible for a third generation Indian/Pakisani, a true Brit nevertheless, to work at Heathrow ... and If I borrowed your eyes for a minute, I see only an immigrant invading the country.
