When washing your hair, only add half of the conditioner you would use normally, and after you have towel dried it add some styling mousse. Next, blow-dry your hair and try not to use a brush too much, instead you can use your fingers to comb your hair through. When your hair is dry, divide it into a number of sections and start curling from the back. Place the ends of the hair at the base of the curling iron and curl up to the roots. Hold it for a few seconds and release. Pin the curl with a pin before moving on to create the next curl. When all your curls are in place blow-dry it some more and then apply some hair spray. Leave the curls to set until they have cooled down. Remove the pins and use your fingers to tousle the curls, not a brush or comb.
