Also, as per my understanding, You only get RFE when your PD is current (I did not file AC21, when I switched to EAD). And, since EB3 india is stuck on Oct 01 for months now, It will be years before they get to my case. Am I right in my assumption ?

you need to spend 12 months outside of US to apply -- My understanding is that you have to wait 12 months before applying.

Why does everyone think it can only be something that the USCIS has the power/authority to act on by themselves. It's been almost two weeks since this fiasco started and they may have been meeting with the right people to put something together.

One of my colleague got the same.. USCIS wanted copies of I 94, Driver License and all pages of Passport.

They wanted color - clear copies.

I didnt send the checks,our lawyer did.So,i dont have a clue when they were cashed.

Can any one tell the time between check cleared and Notice issued. My lawyer sent the checks and he will never bother checking his account daily for me. Hence Notice is the only thing i will get.

AP is taking around 1.5 to 2 months at TSC. Mine took 7 to 8 weeks, filed nov 1, apprvd dec22.

I paper filed AP at TSC on Dec 14 ( Renewal)
Check cashed on Dec 16
Ap received on Jan 9

Total : 3 weeks

Paper filing works better for AP at TSC.
( I had a bad experience when I E-filed at TSC last time.)

The whole non-compete agreement is a cruel joke on the employee who finds his own project. All these incapable bad desi employers ban the employee from joining the client whom the employee got them in the first place.

I know a friend of mine works for an employer, he found his own project through a vendor, now because of non-compete agreement he cannot join the client, nor the vendor and now the employer and vendors are buddies and thinking of other business opportunities. In all this the employee is the loser while it was he who brought the employer and vendor together into minting more money at his expense.

I think people who applied late June and early July just scraped thru before teh deluge of applications hits USCIS.....They are still getting recipt notices in 1 month......
For the rest..it may be several months.....

This is actually a very important matter for you; my best advise would be to contact a good attorney and get the advise. You do not want to put your GC in jeopardy based on opinion from other people who may have incomplete information.

Physicians measures:

We have been actively engaged in discussions with senate leaders on physician issue over the last few months. Members of our chapter traveled to DC to attend a key Senate task force meeting on physician immigration and current challenges. We also attended the AAPI legislative day event in DC and found support from lawmakers and from AAPI.

We strongly encourage everyone to be strongly behind the administrative fixes campaign, as this will bring considerable relief while we battle for immigration reform. letters from physicians and their colleagues will carry their own weight. Ask your employers too and approach your lawmakers!

Our efforts have shown signs of bearing fruit in recent times. Recently we were privileged to be part of a discussion on an upcoming physician bill that would satisfy our primary agenda: quota free green cards for physicians that serve in under served areas. The current proposal would encompass both J1 and H1B physicians. This would be an interim step towards reform- a more wide ranging bill is expected in the future.

We are hoping that this bill can be brought up for voting at some point in the near future. We will need help from many physician members to achieve our objective. A successful result would resolve the entire issue for many physicians AND would establish for the first time a principal that IV has espoused: skilled immigrants that work in the national interest should not be bound by quotas. This precedent would go along way in resolving the larger immigration morass as well.

The chapter thanks all it's active members and IV for the efforts and support that have led us this far. If you want to join the physicians chapter, use the links in my signature.
