These look fine on my editing PC but are too dark on my work PC...
...how's it look where you're at? :)
Also, the second picture is uncropped from the camera, I kind of like the frame
the background creates, but do you think it should be cropped tighter?

I recieved a weired email update from USCIS about the I-140 after RFE documents recived, waited for two days then call the customer service # and the status on the phone said that USCIS denied the case.
here is the case history.
LC-Feb-2005.
I-140 filled march 2007
I-485/EAD filled July-2007
EAD approved/EAD card arrived 15 Sep 2007
I-140 RFE August 2007(A2P)
I-140 denied 27th Sep 2007.
my question is,
what are the options do I have?
my employer is talking about appeal.
since the original I-140 is denied will the 485/EAD will get cancelled too?
is there any way to port the LC date?
what are the chances of appeal/approval?
employer is in good standing(financially).
any suggestions,input will be highly appreciated.

IMO it looks like USCIS is trying to find some reason to deny an H1B petition. Fragomen doesn't have the guts to defend their clients before USCIS since they underwent some investigation.

Try checking their site right around 9:30pm EST. They seem to open up appointments between 9:30-10pm. Appointments fill up pretty easily. (So much for our visa fee dollars).

Any one successful in last 2 weeks in scheduling a Visa appointment in Hyderababad consulate? For last 2 weeks I have been trying to schedule an appointment and it displays message "try after some time" on the vfs-co.in site.
Please let me know if any one was able to do it in last 3 weeks time frame?

My Last name was mispelt on the 485/131/765 notices.I called USCIS and the took a note of the correct names and told that they will correct them when the officer gets my file.The names were mispelt on the EAD card as well.I was asked by the USCIS to return the card and send another application along with the card asking for the correction.

by now everybody might have heard stories about how USCIS pulled staff and worked overtime and weekends to utilize the 60k visas in one month to prevent the july 485 filings.
What I am wondering is why did they do it. One obvious reason is the incresed fee comming into effect from July 30 2007. In addition to it what are the other reasons.
Is there any agenda within USCIS to prevent people from getting EAD and ac21 benefits?
Is USCIS filled with anti immgrant mentality who have takem upon themselves to make our lives difficult?
Maybe politicians involved - only when powerful politicians are involved such things happen - USCIS/DOS does not do such things on its own.

you have money, donate to the advocacy fund, or sponsor a friend.....
you are curious, but not sure what to do, decide now - time is running out.......
you have no idea what the advocacy is all about, ask a question here.....
Work to get the change you want instead of reacting to adverse immigration laws that affect you.....
Be pro-active rather than re-active.

You can start working for Employer C as and when you have the receipt notice for C's transfer. Just make sure, you file for transfer before termination. You have all the documents that is required for H1 transfer, dont worry about it.

i have question regarding my AP. My AP is valid Aug'09. I am going to apply for new AP soon. I am planning to go India in July. My question is Would it be ok if my new AP gets approved while i am in India? I will be using my old AP for travel. but do i need to be present in US when approval of new AP takes place. please advice

Yes, 2007 will be the best chance we would have. After that its all political stunt as we saw this year before elections.

If I am working with X company & Y company is ready to file GC.
(Assuming Y has no objections even if I do not join the company at all)
Is it mandatory for the candidate to join company Y at certain stage which has file GC?
If to be on safe side, I should join company Y at some point;
then what is that state - GC is approved (Once GC is in hand)
or even before that.
