Thank you for putting a link to my long post in your signature. I had forgotten about it. I tried to sum up my thoughts and tried to answer some EB3 I folks who fail to see the problems and solutions. They only see things from their narrow lens and have no idea of the realities. Some of them refuse to listen to us. But if a lawyer on some website tell them the same thing, they would not only listen to that lawyer but also praise the lawyer. I came across one member who even put a picture on his website because he may have felt that this lawyer is his savior to lobby congress for his green card dream. :) But he refused to listen to us and see reason. This only shows our community fails to believe in themselves and what they can do together. We will continue to live a life of suffering, waiting and tracking greencard, predicting visa bulletins and writing posts on the forums. This is the sad reality. I hope others who whine on the forums read that post and it prods them to wake up and do something about their 'depression'. Once you wake up and decide to do something, then contact IV. We will help you.

You have to carry a stack load of papers, documents, etc every time you go for your visa stamping & back....

If you remember that I had pledged $1000 in last 20$ campaign and you guys could only shell out $500 out of me...which means that I still have a block of $500 which was not spent for IV in the past. Here is my next pledge :
" I will donate a lumpsum amount of $500 when we have the following level of monthly contribution and verified by IV core members :
200 members for 20$ and 100 members for $50 and 20 members for $100 , there is no date restriction attached this time , but I hope that it's done in this month, I call upon the members who can take this challenge and take that $500 from my pocket this time"
Note : Kvrr has signed for $100 and I will sign up for another $100 , which means we have only 18 members to go for $100 monthly to finish one piece of my pledge.
Can anyone tomm morning give me an update on where we are at from my pledge point of view !!

FOLKS, PLEASE EACH POST A CLASSIFIED IN A WEB SITE ... AS Pappu has urged every one, this will help 'all of us' have more members and ease our efforts. Today we are crawling to gather the required funds, only if we had many more members , it will solve all problems .. and posting free classifieds is penny less.

I am in a very Bad situation it seems, please help.
I am working in US on L1B visa and Wife on L2. then Wife got a Job and her employer filled her 485.
In the mean time I applied for H1 (through a consultant, to get out of the L1B company). Looks like the H1 Got Approved. Now, I think the problem is, If I switch to H1, then she will loose her job and our chance of Getting EAD will go.
I do NOT want to go for H1, but EAD Is important to me. Is there a Way I can keep my L1? (so that my wife can keep her job)
Please help

Hello all,
A few days ago I started a thread where laid off folks can post their qualifications and people who know of job openings can let them know.
Unfortunately, yesterday I received an email saying that an RFE was raised about my 485. My PD is Sept 2005 in EB3. WTH is my case being processed now? I saw in some other threads also that people with further off PDs are getting RFEs. Can someone shed some light on what the RFE may be about?
I used AC21 earlier last year after completing 180 days of filing 485 and got a new H1 approved. My 140 is approved and my previous employer has not revoked it. They only revoked the H1 and that too about 7 months ago. My new (now ex) employer hasnt revoked my H1 yet.
How long does it take for the RFE to come? I suppose it will goto my old company's lawyer though they are nice folks and will let me know.

I know , More than 50% of IV members who can not file I 485 due to retrogression will be happy to pay this nominal amount of $10 to fax letter to USCIS for rule change
but What is the stand of Core group on this?

Armageddon or not, smart or fool, time will tell. My view is recession yes, outside chance of a depression. Armageddon...........not really.
Interesting thing is Berkshire stock is up while all this is going on. Gives you an idea how much high regard people have for its balance sheet, Buffet and Co. stock picking prowess and his 30 plus billion cash war chest at this time.
I heard that he was asked by lehman to help them out and he politely refused.
I hope this recession/depression doesn't spread to Asia. India will be our refuge if this affects job market here.

As far as dates for India goes, its out. Bulletin on USCIS website will have details for all other countries as well which doesn't matter much to us...
How sweet of you, but guess what it does matter to some people, like me.
What I do not understand is how EB3 row only moves so little because there isnt a lot of people left before 2005. Anyone have an answer for that?
But I hope things will eventually improve for all of us!

I dont think USCIS intends to take out the visa numbers for them.
DOS (who publishes the visa bulletin) wants USCIS to take out the numbers....but USCIS sits all day scratching their bottoms & not approving any cases with current priority dates.
P.S : Pardon my crassness; but people waiting in line would definitely understand frustration.
