All you said is correct, except for you don't need Hepatitis B if you are over 16. No, there are no more tests involved, unless your tb is positive. If you tb is positive you need to do chestX-ray. I know that because I was just doing the tests for myself. Varicella must be taken twice 30 days apart. Same applies to MMR.

I received the card yesterday. Here is the time line of events.
Sept 7 - Card production ordered
Sept 8 - Welcome notice sent
Sept 9 - Approval notice sent aka Cards mailed
Sept 13 - Card received by me
All those who are current and waiting, just remember that it's just matter of time. You will all be greened soon. Do not worry if you didn't have any LUDs. I didn't have any and it got approved. If you are a July/Aug 2007 filer, there is a tremendous chance that your case is pre-adjudicated and it will be approved anytime now.

My attorney is not including any w2s/tax returns at all. According to her, their firm never files these documents and got many approval without any issue. Did you see any instructions in 485 forms that says that they are required?
W2's/tax returns are not part of the initial evidence USCIS requires to process your application but they may ask for it later if required

I just mailed my letter to the President, CC-ed Senators from my state, Congresswoman from my district and of course, IV. I also attached my past correspondance with the lawmakers to the letter, so they know that this has been an on-going struggle from the grassroot level.

Isn’t being at the Advocacy day (or contributing to the day) -- speaking to the powers-that-be, the MOST effective way to get the backlog issues addressed?! It all feels a bit headless chicken central.

Colleagues who sent on Aug 10 Receiving RNs. Its getting so frustrating now...I called USCIS again 3rd day in the row and still nothing in the system.
Sent emails to USCIS Complaint deptt, Congressman and will be sending the fax to the director now.

Its like saying that do not report burglary in your home, as thief may do something bad to the family. Typical scare the victim approach.

What I am suggesting is that the right time to take this up is when a recession is not in full swing. Between 2004 (when this law was enacted) and 2007 was a great time to pick this battle. Maybe another year down the line would also be a great time to pick it. Picking up this particular battle right now would probably make YOUR and MY lives much more difficult in the medium term.
Like you and the OP - I am a selfish individual. I will pick up only those fights which are in my interest. I believe that this particular fight is a lose-lose proposition in the current climate. I am disputing your (and OPs) belief that this will be beneficial for you/me/rest of us.
Lets take the example of the same Goldman Sachs manager. Tomorrow ICE comes to him and says you need to get rid of these 50 guys under you. What will he do? He cant increase the budget in the current environment. So he probably will hire a couple of GC holders/Citizens and replaces the whole division (with 50 GC/Citizens besides the 50 'violators') with an offshore team.
Think about it!!

For transiting through US airports, you need to prove you do not have immigration intent or commitment to another country like home ownership, (and the whole nine yards that go with it). That is far more difficult to establish. Many businesses in developing countries that used to route travels to South America via Atlanta now route them via Europe which is easier compared to US since 2003.
Actually US travel industries are fighting hard to get Transit Without Visa (TWOV) and International-to-International (ITI) passenger programs in US airports re-introduced.
